Charlie Kicska

Biography

Born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Charles Kicska discovered his passion for rhythm at age 15 after attending his first live concert. Initially self-taught, Charles spent a decade honing his craft before seeking professional coaching to further refine his skills. His dynamic playing style draws inspiration from legendary drummers like John and Jason Bonham, Chris Slade, and Scott Phillips.

Throughout his career, Charles has been an active presence in the local music scene, performing with numerous established bands and musicians throughout the region. As a drummer, Charles brings both power and precision to every performance. His approach focuses on serving the song through careful attention to dynamics and mix, ensuring the perfect foundation for both his bandmates and the audience.

Despite his intense focus while performing (which sometimes manifests as a deceptively serious expression!), Charles is known for his down-to-earth personality and approachability. His pre-show ritual is refreshingly simple: quality time with family, followed by getting in the zone with some favorite tracks before taking the stage. When he's not behind the kit, you might find Charles working on his golf game – though he'd be the first to tell you he's a much better drummer than golfer.
